Imagine a magical journey where the lush sounds of Symphonic music meet the most spectacular sight and sound presentation of Pop music imaginable and you have Night of the Proms!
In 1985 the Night of the Proms began as a novel concept to seamlessly merge classical music with diverse contemporary musical genres. Over the years the show has grown in popularity from its beginnings in Belgium to become and international sensation featuring some of the greatest names in music such as Andrea Bocelli, Sting, James Brown, Roger Daltrey, The Beach Boys, Boy George, and many others. Programs feature timeless classics such as Tchaikowsky and Mozart side by side with the latest from Bruno Mars and Avicii, blended together on the stage and accompanied by a fabulous LED video display.
The heart of the of the Night of the Proms is a high-tech ‘modernized’ classical orchestra of 100 members fluent in all musical styles. They are joined by a band, pop soloists, and full chorus. These forces join together to perform specially-arranged versions of blending classical and popular hits, capturing the full potential of the multi-genre musical experience. This uplifting musical experience is enhanced by a beautiful state-of-the-art light show.
Night of the Proms has presented over 1000 shows welcoming over 11 million people in 50 cities in countries including the USA, Denmark, France, Austria, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Belgium and Switzerland.
